Overview

All races begin and end at the Timmins Regional Athletic and Soccer Complex. The half-marathon course is unique to Northern Ontario. Participants will venture through the streets leading to the south of the city; through Schumacher; along Gillies Lake (marking the half-way point) and then onto our beautiful nature trail system.  Each kilometre will be marked to ensure your pace. One last challenging hill brings you to a victory lap at the Complex.

The 5km race will follow the Mattagami River through scenic trails.

The 2km race will begin with a lap at the Complex, followed by a trek through the nature trails behind École secondaire catholique Thériault, returning to the Complex for a final effort to the finish line.

Volunteers - The organisation and realization of the festival is possible due to our numerous volunteers.  During the festival our volunteers will be identified by a florescent orange vest.  Do not hesitate to ask our volunteers if you have a question.  They are on site to guide you.  Please also join us in thanking all the volunteers for their time.

Sponsors - Many individuals and organisations offered donations to the Timmins Golden Trails Festival. Without their support this festival would not be possible.  We would like to thank our many sponsors for their support and assistance in making our vision of a running festival a reality.
